Every Small Change You Must Know Before Buying

Born Again After 6 Years
Tesla Model X was first launched in 2015 at $89,990 focusing more on performance. Now after 6 years it is revised again and this time its focus is more on power and range. That’s why Tesla has switched to the Plaid variant from the performance variant and has revealed the facelifted 2021 Model X for $119,990.

“The only thing beyond Ludicrous is Plaid” Elon Musk tweeted.
Key Features Of Model X
Model X is a seven-seater car but it’s hardly a conventional SUV. It’s more hatchback than a conventional family wagon. It is a true Beast in size but its handling is surprisingly nimble on the other hand.
It is firmly established in the upper reaches of the family car price bracket. Underneath it shares a platform and motors with the Model S saloon.
Model X is very powerful having a performance of 785bhp (brake horsepower). Despite the fact, it weighs just shy of 2,500kg.
It gives you free access to Tesla’s superb Supercharger network – an offer that lasts as long as you retain the vehicle. Second owners have to pay for the privilege.
How Model X looks on Outside?
Based on the brand’s iconic Model S sedan, the 2021 Tesla Model X SUV wows with its top-hinged rear doors able to open up to 11 inches high and truly looks like a falcon-winged SUV.

Hinged-doors comes up with extra sensitive sensors to prevent knocks against pillars or squeezing children, the Model X’s signature feature.
New performance tires deliver better handling and ride quality with lower rolling resistance and are paired with new aerodynamic wheels for an updated look.
Optimized Aerodynamics
Attention to detail on all exterior surfaces makes Model X the most aerodynamic production SUV on Earth.
On the inside of Model X
A premium and nearly buttonless interior design is classic Tesla. The Model X’s unique windshield/glass roof runs seamlessly from the base of the hood up over the front-seat passengers for a nearly uninterrupted view of the beautiful sky.

Inside the cabin, you get a completely new dashboard design. Enhancements include a new airplane-styled rectangular steering wheel with trackball-type steering-mounted controls.
As Model X is an electric car it is Perfectly Environment Clean, has powerful yet invisible cabin conditioning. Tri-zone temperature controls, ventilated front seats and HEPA filtration come standard.

A fully digital instrument cluster, twin wireless charging pads, an additional 8-inch display for the rear passengers with inbuilt games and applications, and a 22-speaker 960W audio system.

How Strong Is Model X Engine?
Model X comes with a 1020-hp(horsepower) engine and claimed zero-to-60-mph time in 2.5 seconds.
It consists of three electric motors—one at the front axle and two at the rear—which enables all-wheel-drive capability. It’s top speed is 163mph.

Battery Life and Charging
The Model X comes standard with a battery large enough to cover a claimed 340-mile driving range. Recharging is quick via one of Tesla’s Superchargers which charge with 250kw whereas charging at home via a 240V or 120V connection will be slower. Tesla also offers in-home charging equipment for purchase.
How does it feel like to drive Tesla Model X 2021?
The Model X is fast. But it’s also very, very smooth. Coming from an internal combustion car? That’s the biggest difference you’ll notice: no gear changes, no engine vibration, barely any noise. The throttle is brilliantly well calibrated, so it creeps easily along with town traffic.
But as soon as you move out of the town its structure stiffs. That might not sound like a dealbreaker, but you can sense the body twist, feel shudders, hear the trim creak.
On coarse surfaces, the tyre makes too much noise, and it reflects back from the giant windscreen, making the Model X that bit more hectic than it ought to be. It’s not as smooth and hushed on the road as the Audi e-Tron, but this is still a fundamentally easy and relaxing car to drive for something so big.

Storage Game On
With the most storage space and towing capacity of any electric SUV, Model X delivers maximum utility. It can store up to 91ft3 and have towing capacity of 5000 lbs.
Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG
Among other similarly-sized all-electric SUVs, the Model X boasts the highest MPGe ratings from the EPA. Long Range models earned ratings of 109 cities, 101 highway, and 105 MPGe combined. Even the Plaid model, which sacrifices some efficiency for faster acceleration, outperforms key rivals such as the Jaguar I-Pace and Audi e-Tron SUVs in this metric.
Infotainment and Connectivity
Tesla is simply best when it comes to infotainment and it has proved it again with the wide 17-inch touchscreen infotainment unit in a portrait layout.

Play Games Without Any Limit
Also, it supports wireless gaming. Up to 10 teraflops of processing power enable in-car gaming on-par with today’s newest consoles. Wireless controller compatibility lets you game from any seat.

Stay Connected
Multi-device Bluetooth, wireless and USB-C charging for every passenger, with enough power to fast-charge your tablets and laptop.
Tesla’s infotainment system is certainly high-tech, but what you won’t find is Apple CarPlay or Android Auto capability. Rear-seat riders are treated to their own small display which provides entertainment and, presumably, some control over the car’s features but they don’t have any control over the 17-inch screen.
Safety at Tesla’s Hand
Model X is built from the ground up as an electric vehicle, with a high-strength architecture and floor-mounted battery pack for incredible occupant protection and low rollover risk. Every Model X includes Tesla’s latest active safety features, such as Automatic Emergency Braking, at no extra cost.

Driver-Assistance Features
People buy Tesla more for features than luxury and the Model X can be optioned with the feature that is possibly the most buzzworthy: Autopilot.
Autopilot enables your car to steer, accelerate and brake automatically within its lane under your active supervision, assisting with the most burdensome parts of driving. With over-the-air software updates, the latest enhancements are available instantly.

The Model X also offers a Summon feature that allows the user to park or retrieve the SUV from tight spots while standing outside.
Some More Features:
1)Navigate on Autopilot
2)Auto-Lane Change
3)Autopark
Warranty and Maintenance Coverage
Tesla offers a comprehensive warranty package to protect the Model X’s powertrain and hybrid components but lacks the lengthy bumper-to-bumper coverage and complimentary scheduled maintenance packages.
The limited warranty covers 4 years or 50,000 miles.
Powertrain warranty covers 8 years, regardless of miles.
No complimentary scheduled maintenance.
Should you buy Tesla Model X?
Are you thinking an electric SUV could be your next family car? But this one seems too radical? Give it the benefit of the doubt. In developing an electric car from scratch, Tesla still holds a narrow lead over less well packaged and creative rivals from Audi, Jaguar, and Merc. Yes, they’re better built and more familiar, but Tesla is big, airy, and full of advanced features and technology.
It’s a fun and engaging family car with room for everyone and a more playful personality than the outwardly plain looks suggest.
Not cheap, and not a conventional SUV, but a thoroughly capable family wagon.
