We explored many deals on headphones this week. Of all the deals we saw on listening devices, none of them were as good as the price of these Microsoft Surface headphones. The $96 surface headphones are now available at just $81.59.
Woot! has Microsoft Surface Headphones 2 for $96 on their website. But you can save an extra 15% on the Woot App. This takes the total cost to $81.59, with free shipping for Amazon Prime members; otherwise, the cost is a flat $6. Woot! is a subsidiary of Amazon.
WHY SHOULD YOU BUY THIS?
MICROSOFT SURFACE HEADPHONES 2 IS BEST
- People who want multipoint connectivity. If you tend to switch devices, these have some great multipoint functionality and can seamlessly switch audio between my computer and iPhone without needing to go digging through settings.
- Anyone on a slightly thinner budget than the Bose or Sony’s allow for. While the Sony WH-1000XM4 and Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 are great options, they’re also expensive. At about $50 cheaper than either of them, the Surface Headphones 2 look like a steal.
- People who want noise-canceling for commutes or the cafe. While these aren’t as strong as some other top options when it comes to active noise canceling, they still get the job done
Reason To go For it.
- Great minimal design with rotating rings that work nicely
- Adjustable ANC and passthrough audio
- Superb multipoint connectivity
- Comfortable to wear
- USB-C charging
- Good microphone, mic mute button
The Bottom Line
MICROSOFT SURFACE HEADPHONES 2
The Microsoft Surface Headphones 2 are cheaper than many of the best consumer ANC headphones that Sony and Bose have to offer with features and specs that go toe-to-toe with them.
Plus, they look absolutely gorgeous. But they have their drawbacks, too: you can’t disable ANC without enabling ambient passthrough, and the touchpads are easy to trigger by accident. Still, if you want a great headset for conference calls, this is one of the best options around.
