Injustice movies are revealing all the cast.
Injustice is produced by Warner Bros. Animation, DC, and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment.
Injustice: Gods Among Us launched as both a mobile game and on game consoles in 2013, with the game pitting members of the DC universe against one another in death matches reminiscent of Mortal Kombat, also produced by Netherrealm Studios. The game series became so popular that DC launched multiple comics exploring the story.
Injustice, the next DC animated original film, was first teased when fans noticed that an advanced look at the film was among the special features of the upcoming Batman: The Long Halloween, Part 2 animated movie. Today courtesy of an exclusive from THR, details for the Injustice animated film, including the voice cast, have been revealed.
The story takes place on an alternate Earth in which the Joker has tricked Superman into killing Lois Lane, sending the hero on a rampage. Superman ends up taking control of the Earth, forcing Batman and other superheroes to stop him. The Injustice video game, which launched on both console and mobile, made DC villains and heroes fight each other in deathwatches.
The game is similar to Mortal Kombat, which NetherRealm Studios also produced. The series became so popular that it established its own place in comic books, expanding more of the story and alternate take of Superman.
Based on the acclaimed video game Injustice: Gods Among Us from Netherrealm Studios, the “story takes place on an alternate Earth. The Joker has tricked Superman into killing Lois Lane, sending the hero on a rampage. This unhinged Superman decides to take control of Earth for its own good, leading Batman and his allies to attempt to stop him.”
