As the March 23 launch event for Huawei approaches, the Huawei Mate X3 folding mobile phone is becoming more well-known. Because of their unique form, folding phones on the market today frequently have disadvantages such as thickness and weight. However, the Huawei Mate X3 will provide a new design in terms of thinness and durability this time.  The Huawei Mate X3 feels as good as the present tiny and light Honor Magic Vs and Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 and is even thinner and lighter than some candy bars.

Huawei announced last week that its flagship Mate X3 with a big foldable screen will be revealed on March 23 at a new product introduction event. Yu Chengdong, a Huawei executive, has divulged a lot of confidential information about this new phone.  Yu Chengdong just revealed Huawei’s next foldable flagship, the Mate X3, in a video. He says in the video that as the demand for bigger screens grows, customers will increasingly demand folding screen phones that are lighter and smaller.

Yu Chengdong shows the features of the Huawei Mate X3. He says that this device provides an improvement in dialogue. He also claimed that this folding premium phone is ultra-thin and ultra-durable. This can be used to predict what the Huawei Mate X3 will offer in terms of communication. Indeed, it’s fair to presume that this device will be the first to employ 2nd Generation satellite communication technology. It will be able to transmit and receive two-way text messages, improving the functionality of satellite communication. It will also enable the sender to receive immediate help in disaster circumstances or situations where there is no ground network.

Although the Mate X3’s sleek hardware is excellent, one of the most significant improvements is the IPX8 classification, which is still rare in the foldable phone sector. Only Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 4 series has the same classification, indicating that the gadget can survive immersion in water up to 1 meter (3.2 feet).

Huawei’s Mate X3 is a return to the book-style flexible. Instead of releasing a replacement to the Mate X2, Huawei went with the single-screen circular design of the Mate XS 2 last year. The reversion to Samsung’s original inward-folding design appears to suggest that book-style designs are the future for Huawei foldable phones.

The Mate X3 was revealed alongside the newest arrivals to Huawei’s P-series range, including the P60, P60 Pro, and P60 Art. They both have two-way satellite communications, rapid charging up to 88W, and an IP68 rating for dust and water protection. The P60 Art is distinguished by its asymmetrical camera bulge, which houses a 48-megapixel primary camera, a 40-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 48-megapixel telephoto camera.

There are three back cameras (a 50-megapixel primary, a 13-megapixel ultrawide capable of closeup photos, and a 12-megapixel telephoto with a 5x optical magnification) and a 5,060mAh battery that can be charged at 66W via cable or 50W wirelessly. It’s driven by a 4G variant of Qualcomm’s 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset and includes satellite connectivity, which Huawei claims can transmit and receive texts.

The official release today is only for the Chinese market, but Huawei plans a worldwide launch for May 9th in Munich. It’s uncertain which of these devices will make it to the West, or whether any will stay exclusive to China.
