Apple Event Officially Announced in 2021.
Apple has finally announced the September 14 date for its next event, where the company is expected to launch the iPhone 13 series. Alongside the iPhone 13 series, Apple is also set to launch the Apple Watch Series 7, with a significant redesign like flat edges and a bigger screen.
The Apple Watch Series 7 has been rumored to come with a redesign for quite some time now, with Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicting the same earlier this year. Further, the Apple Watch comes with other new features like blood pressure, blood glucose, alcohol levels, and more.
It recently reported that the Apple Watch’s production might be delayed due to the complicated new design. The Apple Watch Series 7 is said to come with a flat-edged design, putting the smartwatch more in line with the company’s design language.
Apart from the larger, flatter display, the Apple Watch Series 7 will also come with a faster processor, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reported recently. This year, Apple is said to carry on with its trend of giving the Apple Watch a design refresh with every third generation. The last time the company had given a major design refresh to the Apple Watch was with Series 4.
What to expect?
The “Apple Watch Series 7” may introduce a flat-face design and a redesigned chassis, a faster processor with improved wireless connectivity, and the ever-rumored glucose monitoring. Updated AirPods are also anticipated, including an AirPods Pro style design, but the AppleInsider reported without active noise cancellation functionality.
M1X-equipped 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros may feature, complete with mini LED backlighting and an upgraded camera. A Mac mini could also surface with the M1X, a refreshed chassis design with a plexiglass-like top panel, color options, and more ports for the desktop.
The device is powered by Apple’s next-generation A15 chip manufactured based on TSMC’s 5nm+ process. In addition, the entire iPhone 13 range is also expected to sport the LiDAR sensor. The sensor first appeared in the latest generation iPad Pro in March, followed by the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max.
The California Streaming event will be live-streamed on Apple.com, viewed through any desktop or mobile browser. Moreover, you can also watch the event on an Apple TV or any device with the Apple TV app. (ANI)
The Bottom Line
A recent report said that it has claimed that the Cupertino-based tech giant will increase the price of the upcoming iPhones to compensate for rising chip production costs. Apple may also launch Watch Series 7 with a smaller “S7” chip, potentially providing more space for larger batteries or other components.
This new chipset will be built from Taiwanese supplier ASE Technology. On its website, ASE Technology confirmed that its double-sided technology would allow for module miniaturization. Based on previous reports, Apple Watch Series 7 models are expected to debut later this year, with Mark Gurman claiming that Apple has tested thinner display bezels.
